르꼬르동블루를 졸업한 한국인학생이 아들레이들에 Pâtisserie Café 를 오픈했다는 소식이네요~
Le Cordon Bleu Australia Graduate Profile You Jin (Jinny) Shin
Jinny has completed both the Diplôme de Pâtisserie (Certifcate 3 in Hospitality Patisserie) and the Bachelor of Business (Bachelor of Business (International Restaurant & Catering Management) through Le Cordon Bleu. As a part of the Bachelor of Business Jinny was required to complete two Industry Placements, her first Industry Placement saw her go to the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas where she held the position of Food & Beverage Attendant. It was here that she learnt how to serve and provide excellent customer service. However, when she returned to Adelaide she had a goal for her second Industry Placement which was to go back to Korea and gain experience in kitchens as it as her passion for pastry and desserts that motivated her. Jinny spent 10 – 12 hours a day developing her pastry cooking in Korea including gateaux making and sugar art for wedding cakes, it was a hard 6 months, working long hours for very little money but she knew that her hard work would pay off. After graduation, with a little help from her family, Jinny set out to open her own Pâtisserie Café in Adelaide. After a lot of searching she found a shop, renovated it, fitted it out with designer furniture from Korea and even developed her own logo. In December 2010 Jinny launched the grand opening of “Pâtisserie Jin” where she makes all her sweet treats on site out in the kitchen and her mum and sister assist front of house. Le Cordon Bleu would like to commend Jinny for her dedication and outstanding contribution to the Hospitality Industry – well done! |
